You obviously aware of the “publish or perish” attitude in the scientific community, but I was wondering if you could comment on how that mentality applies to hopeful grad students. You said you were lucky enough to receive two publications in your undergrad career, but I entering into my junior year and I finding it difficult even to find a lab that allow me to join, much less one in which I could publish. It seems that the constant stress for an undergrad applying to grad school is having at least one, but preferably a few, publications under their belt.
